Jeep JK Front and Rear Bumpers
GenRight Jeep JK Front Bumper
Unlike GenRight's Jeep Wrangler TJ, LJ, YJ, and CJ bumpers, the GenRight JK
series of bumpers comes with a different style of the 'base bumper' that also replaces the valance.
Like our other Jeep bumpers, the JK front bumper
accommodates mounting WARN winches, however, the JK version has the winch sitting further down, inside the front bumper with the coming directly out of the front. This provides more protection for your winch, and is a better mounting location than on the top of the bumper.
These bumpers also include a pair of steel tow points for D rings that bolt on to the outer piece of the 2 piece front bumper
, the D-Rings are sold separately.
Jeep Full Width Bumpers
Full Width Jeep Wrangler Front Bumpers
Full width bumpers are a specific type of bumper that extend out to cover the front of the wheels and typically matches the stock fenders on a Jeep Wrangler (or other vehicle). These bumpers add additional protection to the front of your Jeep, specifically in front of the fenders. The stock Jeep fenders are not meant to take a hit from wildlife, hazards or front end collisions and will crumple under the pressure.
By adding a full width Jeep bumper
you will protect the front of your vehicle from sustaining major damage in the event of collision. This is more important for Jeep owners that live in the Midwest and North East where deer hits are very common and often do not leave enough time for the driver to react. The full width bumper deflects and absorbes the blow whether it is directly in front, or on the front corner.
Although full width bumpers
have the most protection out of any bumper, they also reduce the Jeep's ability to rock crawl and offroad. With the sides of the bumper extending out in front of the tires and fenders, there is more to get hung up on and prevent the tires from griping directly in front of Jeep. Wheeling with a full width bumper is certainly possible, and skilled Jeepers have even taken them on the Rubicon, but it does add an extra challenge to positioning the tires while off-roading.
Boulder Series Stinger
Built For Rock Crawling
The Boulder series front stinger
on the GenRight front bumpers
is designed for rock crawling and has one of the highest front stingers on the market. This type of stinger is specifically designed to prevent the Jeep from flipping forward when you are traversing down a hill or obstacle.
These stingers are reinforced by a pair of gussets or tubes to ensure that the stinger does not bend when it is preventing the Jeep from tipping forward onto the roof. The stinger can also double as a ramp
for your Jeep to get a tire up on an obstacle directly in front of you. The GenRight Boulder series stinger
is angled at the ideal ratio between front-end clearance (to keep from catching rocks), while maintaining enough angle to prevent the Jeep from bouncing over which may happen with other smaller stingers.
The Boulder series is best for you if you intend to do higher level Jeep rock crawling with a lot of elevation changes.
Trail Series Stinger
Made For Tough Trails
The GenRight front bumper Trail series stinger
is a lower profile stinger that acts as a second means of protection for the front of your Jeep. Like the Boulder series stinger, the Trail series is made to stop your Jeep from flipping forward onto the roof. Unlike the Boulder series, the Trail stinger has a lower profile and comes to a flat bar in the front of your Jeep Wrangler
instead of a point as with most Jeep stingers. This bar provides superior protection in the event your Jeep
rolls into an obstacle and you can also use it to push other Jeeps through obstacles.
The Trail series was modeled after the winch guards on some of our older bumpers. These older bumpers provide a similar bar that, like the Trail series, is reinforced by a pair of gussets or tubes. Both of these style of stingers will protect your Jeep Wrangler
while traversing down obstacles, or in case anything (or anyone) leaps out if front of you on the trail.
Superior Grill Protection
An additional option for GenRight Jeep front bumpers
is the Grill Guard
. This Grill Guard
extends out further than the hood and grill to protect your Jeep Wrangler
from hood and radiator damage during a roll over. It is made of the same tubing we use on the GenRight stingers
and is available for either the aluminium or steel
versions of the bumper
By extending the tubes out farther than your Jeep's hood and grill, the GenRight grill guard
can protect the front of your Jeep from not just frontal collisions, but also potential damage coming from the top and sides. GenRight also uses the Grill Guard
to stabilize and reinforce the front bumper's stinger
. Using a pair of tubes, the stinger and grill guard are welded together to provide unyielding stability and protection.
Rear Bumpers And Plates
JK Rear Bumpers
The GenRightJK Rear Bumpers
are designed to work with our Swing Out tire carrier
to accommodative even the largest tire size it can carry (up to 42"!!!)
. These rearJeep bumpers
provide excellent clearance to your Jeep JK
, sticking only 4" out from behind your Jeep
, a great improvement over the stock rear bumper
. The tow points on the Jeep JK Rear Bumper
are frame mounted for maximum strength, available on either the steel or the aluminium version.
GenRight also has Rear Bumper Plates
for other Jeep Wranglers
that provide an excellent base to add back up lights to your Jeep, or tie into the GenRight Swing Down Tire Carrier
, allowing you to carry up to a 42" tire. The bolt on design is easy to install, and is a great way to repair the rear cross member. These open up plenty of options for your next project on your Jeep.
